Fatz honors its outstanding employees
TAYLORS, S.C., May, 2016 — Fatz Cafe recently recognized nine company leaders with top honors during its 2015 Company Awards ceremony. Awards were given in the areas of hospitality and operations.
The top hospitality award was presented to Deanna “Wynne” Hardin, a resident of Jonesborough, Tennessee and catering sales representative at the Fatz Cafe in Elizabethton, Tenn. Hardin was the recipient of “The Chief” 2015 Hospitality Leader of the Year Award. Open to all employees, “The Chief” Award embodies the Fatz guest services philosophy that “everybody can be nice and everybody matters.” It is posthumously named after a beloved Fatz employee nicknamed “Chief” whose friendly nature and genial spirit earned him the admiration of hundreds of guests and the distinguished SC Hospitality Association’s Front of House Employee of the Year Award. Fatz created a company award in his name that honors a single employee who day-in and day-out best represents a genuine kindness and friendliness toward Fatz customers and fellow associates. With hundreds of glowing guest comments regarding her outstanding customer service, Catering Sales Representative Deanna “Wynne” Hardin was the hands-down winner for 2015.
The top operations award was presented to Carlos Fair, general manager of the Fatz Cafe in Asheville, North Carolina. Fair was named The Fatz Cafe Way 2015 Operator of the Year for consistently high scores in guest satisfaction, restaurant inspection results, financial results, associate turnover and management turnover, along with outstanding work ethic and proven ability.
